SEWING BEES PROJECT DAYS
Lucy's sewing bees day is a fun day for all ages, usually held on a Sunday.
10 am to 4 pm
On the sewing bees day, you will learn
- How to use your sewing machine and get the most from it.
- Lots of tips on alterations and repairs (moth holes, tears, etc.)
- The difference between fabrics (natural & synthetic fibres)
- How to sew with different fabrics and how to work with their various properties
- How to analyse the way different clothes are constructed.
- How to create your own fashion design on paper inspired by 2 or 3 garments you have chosen from a collection provided on the day.
You will then get to practice your sewing skills by upscaling your chosen garments into something totally unique just as in the Sewing Bees TV Programme
